TIME AND WORK TRICKS NOTES

In our previous blog we discussed some important questions of TIME AND WORK .I saw some peoples are facing problem in Que 3. 

So today i am here to tell you how to solve the questions in which WORK is divided into parts or fractions.This is another high level type of question asked in RRB (CBT2)and other competitive examinations.

Time and work Trick

This is most important question from the railway point of view .Frankly telling friends when i started reading TIME AND WORK from book ,i failed to solve such type of questions.But we are going to solve this question from the same Trick i discussed in my previous post.Just use one trick and solve all types of questions based on time and work.

• WORK=Efficiency*Time 

This is the formulae we discussed earlier.Friends you can also find

      EFFICIENCY=Work/Time and similarly,

      TIME             = Work/Efficiency

• In question above first break the fraction into days

        SoA do  2/5 part of work in=10*5/2          =25 days

        andB do 1/2 part of same work in =10*2  =20 days

Now solve this by normal method discussed earlier

Efficiency                       Time            Total work

     4                  A             25 

                                                                  100

     5                  B             20

NOTE:  Effieiency  =Work/Time

              Total Work = Efficiency*Time      also( LCM of 25&20)

• A and B working together for 5 days=(5+4) i.e Effi. of A+Effi. of B*5

         =(5+4)*5=45 work the do together.

• Total work is 100 and 45 Work is done by A+B,so Total work left is (100-45)=55

• Now see que.  In how many days will B finish the remaining work.

         i.e Total work left/Efficiency of B=55/5=11 days

• So,B alone finished the remaining work in 11 days.ANS

TIME AND WORK

Time and work most important topic for all competitive examination.In Railway Examinations (ALP ,NTPC ,JE and Group D) we get 3-4 questions based on this topic.Solving these type of questions are time taking and time is very valuable.So i am here with all types of questions based on it .Use this trick to solve any type of question in seconds.

Lets have a look how questions are solved normally,its really lengthy and time consuming.

Normally this question is difficult to solve but those who are BEGINNERS and want to crack this exam use this trick.We can use this trick in any type of question based on TIME AND WORK.See how to solve questions with this trick below.I am also going to tell you how to and where to use this trick.This TRICK is also helpful in PIPE AND CISTERN.

HOW TO USE THIS TRICK?

• Important thing you need to remember is .

       WORK=TIME*EFFICIENCY

• Always take the LCM of days i.e

Q    If A is doing a work in 12days and B in 24 days ,how much time they take to finish the work together .

An.   Now take LCM of 12 and 24 which is 24,

         now take 24 as a total work.

         

         Efficiency =Work/time. 

         

          so efficiency of A is 2 and B is 1.

         so they both take=2+1=3 efficiency.

         Now divide 3 by 24(Total Work)

         now ans is 24/3=8days

Always remember the formulae given above.This trick may solve question in just 20-25 seconds, There is no trick better than this trick.Once you start using this trick you may see your speed is increasing.This is benificical in all Competitive Examinations.RRB GROUP D ,RRB ALP ,RRB JE,RRB NTPC,RPF.Practice these questions ,trick is also helpful in PIPE AND CISTERN
